Pearl Xu

Being the daughter of an oil painter, Pearl has always been surrounded by art and weekly trips to museums. She grew up watching her father paint portraits and was fascinated by how he was able to highlight the best features of the subject without losing her resemblance to the painting. But it wasn't until Pearl started working at a cosmetics counter during college that she found her own love for the transformation of faces.

Since then, Pearl dove headfirst into the world of makeup artistry where she's worked in fashion shows with designers including Nicole Miller, Dolce & Gabbana, and Hellessy. Her work has been featured in editorials for Philadelphia Style, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard magazine as well as a New York Marathon New Balance commercial. Pearl's clients include Jill Kargman, Sara Foster, and William Jackson Harper.
